Analyst Layoffs?

So, lots of speculation going on these days about how 'the worst is over' and what not. But, I'm more of a pessimist and I believe that we will not bottom out until end of 08/beginning of 09.

I'm not sure where this goes, but is there any reason why I can't load this page at work? It used to work just fine, and the site isn't blocked at my firm, it just won't load? The top will have that tagline of "Wall Street Oasis...where monkeys come to play" but the actual content will never load.

Any suggestions?

Not sure which section this should go into, but I was wondering for 1st and 2nd years, the general sentiment of getting a headhunter? Do most have one 'on retainer' until they are ready to move?

2008 Analyst Bonuses

Based on what I've heard about associate bonuses, the ones in S&T were a lot lower than IBD (for obvious reasons). It seems that top tier in S&T was closer to bottom bucket in IBD. Now, my question refers to the analyst bonuses to be distributed in summer 2008. There's been speculation that even the analyst bonuses will be smaller in S&T vs. IBD.

are they difficult? What do they actually consist of? I didnt realize I had to take them, but my company just sent me an email saying that I'm schedule to take it later in September..

Is it just to make sure you know the rules?
