PRIVATE PORTFOLIO HELP

Hey, so i am in the process of opening one. It takes a few days to verify my bank account using ach. so ive been researching stocks a lot lately. and it seems to me that any high school kid could do as well as the most seasoned investor. i mean you can read the companies' financial statements on finance.yahoo.com, there are even links to quarterly reports. and u can use gurufocus to get graphs of whatever data or ratio you want. and u can even play with different models like motley fool and 'value investment' and 'peter lynch', theyre all available online. but even if they werent, it's not like a high school kid couldnt come up with some "model" on how to pick stocks. i mean most of those ratios are quiete useless(except for picking up some red flags).

Help me get a job in business

Hey guys im not even sure what kind of job im looking for. But anything to pay the bills while im applying to med schools. so like what kind of jobs do i apply for? i just started looking on craigslist, is that good, or should i use a different search engine? if they ask me for a resume, should i put down my mcat score? it's pretty good, and i dont have much else to brag about. i didnt take any business classes while in school. i did take a lot of math. also if i were to pursue actuary jobs, i think i need to have passed at least 1 exam before applying? so would it take a long time to do that, like can i register and take the exam the following day? and how long is the job application process?

Am I right to go into medicine?

I am not american. I did my undergrad outside of usa. But I intend to go to med school in usa. I absolutely hate nyc. No friends, no gf. So my reason for going into medicine is so I could one day end up living on the shore of lake tahoe and hopefully having an office within walking distance of my home. Then i could also have a hot wife from russia. And i would be more or less isolated from americans.. But i dont even know if drs really can get good jobs on lake tahoe??
And ive already submitted my med school application. The alternative plan of military->mba seems like too much work. But of course I envy people who can get mba and live in moscow with 6figure incomes. they can go on vacations to finland and to greece. and they can switch 1 hot woman for another. in usa even a millionaire would be happy to have 1 hot woman.

Career Plans for a premed

yo guys. im done with mcat. dont think i did too well but hopefully good enough to get into med school. but i am posting here to explore alternative careers. i think medicine is definitely more interesting than ibanking. but if i were a business owner, like owner of a chain of gyms in east europe or a chain of strip clubs, it might be even more satisfying.

but meanwhile, i dont think i could get an ibanking job even if i wanted to. i am only applying to med schools because i think i did rather well on mcat, my gpa is low. so the only alternative might be to serve 4yrs as an officer and then apply to mba. but i think thats a terrible idea. i'll have wasted 6yrs and med school+EM residency is only 7yrs. so should i chill and just go along with the current??

How to impress a girl?

i like a girl. never met her but she is hot. there is a personal trainer who created a facebook group to get people to pay to run with him in the park. and this girl joined. and she said she might even come one of these sundays. it doesnt cost that much to attend once a week in hopes of seeing her, though im not one of those dorks who needs to pay for fitness training(im in good shape i swear).
and so i logged on here because it sucks so much. i mean there is no guarantee i'll ever see her and thats the only way to hit on her. and i must wait for sunday in hopes of seeing her. and if i do see her, i'll have only 1 chance to impress her. so waiting for some tips for next sunday.

American Women

i was just reading a law discussion boards. i only read it because it's unmoderated and you can get all kinds of postings. so there is a post where they rate "irl women". it's amazing how pathetic they are. they post pics of average looking women and then say "well it's not like u're dating a supermodel".

Running a small business?

Hey how realistic is it to run a business profitably with little effort if you just saved a little money and decide to invest it? i.e. an engineer, lawyer, etc decides to put $100k to buy a cell phone store. lets say he can verify that the store has 1 employee and a net profit of $80k/yr. Does he have anything to worry about??

Career Plans?

i'm russian. I'm a premed. Taking mcat this May. Then i intend to surprise my parents and join usmc as an officer. So the plan is to serve 4yrs and then decide m.d. or mba. so one of the major reasons to pick mba is so i could then get a banking or trading job in moscow. is that realistic?

Prereqs for top mba schools? military?

hi, i read before that being an officer helps for mba, i.e. infantry. but what about enlisted special ops jobs? would it be not as good if you enlisted after college, i.e. lack of leadership, or would the special ops aspect compensate for it? thanks.
