Obama's Tax Plan - Detailed Copy

Without getting into a debate about Obama and his policies, I'm just trying to see if anyone has a legitimate detailed version of his tax plan. The one on his website is pretty worthless. It gives no hard percentages and the examples it gives are for married couples with children and property, and it only goes to $90,000 anyways. Ideally what I'd like to see is a chart for Obama's tax plan for individual tax-payers with no children or real estate going from $75,000 to $350,000. If anyone has seen anything like this, let me know.

Plus / Minus Points On Posts

Patrick,

This has been brought up before but I thought I would rehash it since nobody has really pushed for it lately. I think a lot of the malcontent with the state of the website has alot to do with the quality of the threads as well as the content of the posting within them (and arguably, the posters themselves). People are a little wary to trust what is being posted, despite the "gold star" system you've implemented.

So if I may suggest again the plus or minus point system where each member can vote on whether or not another member's post or response was helpful to them, it may help those actually looking for advice to weed through the BS.

Another option may be that only gold star users and the original poster him/herself can vote on the helpfulness of the post, that way you can have a better sample set. Just a thought.

Relationships

Just curious, and I fully realize that this topic has been glazed over peripherally through the course of some of the threads in this forum. But based on my own recent personal experiences and conversations, I was wondering:

1) In terms of your criteria in a significant other, do you require a high level of substance (intellectually, culturally, social-economically) as well as a requisite for physical attraction, or is chemistry your only requirement? To put it another way, would you date someone who perhaps didn't go to college, and didn't contribute heavily to any deep conversations, so long as you had very good chemistry (however vaguely defined)?

2) Is there a double standard for men and women when it comes to this? Is it easier for a man to date what I just described above than a woman?

Monthly Budgets

Just curious, if you're willing to offer up the basic info: What is your current position and would you say you are mostly cash flow positive or cash flow negative on a monthly basis? How many of you are negative during the month and make up for it at the end of the year with your bonus?

Public Perception of Private Equity: A Discussion

It's become quite clear to me recently that the general public has a perception of private equity that goes beyond any negative connotations associated with banking. People have a general understanding that private equity partners have the ability to create the kind of wealth (for themselves, it seems) that borders on the obscene at the expense of, well, them.
