25 most intriguing hedge funds?

Here's the link:
http://www.hedgefundreader.com/2007/01/the_25_most_int.html

The list feels very "I just googled 'hedge fund' and this is what came up." Some of the asset managers aren't even hedge funds in any real sense. Geronimo Financial (#17) operates publicly traded mutual funds for one.

Thoughts?

T. Boone at 10 - very nice.

T. Boone shouldn't be on that list

Maybe if it were the 80's, Pickens would be on that list. Icahn should replace Boone, and Pershing Square or Third Point should replace Pirate.

Citadel, TCI, Sovereign Global Investment (before it closed shop), Tontine, and Appaloosa would also be good candidates for that list.

I don't really buy the list.

I don't really buy the list. A pretty simple gripe is the place of Soros' Quantum funds on the list. SAC, GSAM funds, Vega, Citadel, Farallon (which didn't even make the list), etc. are all much more interesting.
